As some may not know, On Thanksgiving night, Steven was sitting on the floor in the kitchen at my parents house under the microwave. My dad was warming a plate of leftovers mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey, and such on a Chinet paper plate. When he pulled it out of the microwave, the plate collapsed and it spilled on Steven. He received 1st and 2nd degree burns to the front part of his head, forehead cheeks, nose, forearms, hands, and left thigh. Do to quick response from my mom in getting him in the tub of cool water, they were not more severe. We immediately took him to the Er. I have never seen my dad drive that fast to St. George in my life and there was fog. I was praying the whole way. Not only that Steven would be O.K., but that there would be no deer and we would make it there safe. Well our Heavenly Father definitely answers blessing, because we made it there. Steven is going to be fine and should not have any scars. He has to have bandages changed everyday, and we have to visit the burn clinic once a week, but he is still smiling and still getting into things like normal. Thanks to everyone for their concern and their prayers. It was very helpful. I thank my Heavenly Father very the blessings he gives to us. Even though Steven looks beat up, he is rarely without a smile.
